FUTURE CITY HUB

Project carried out independently for events including the Drawdown Research to Action Congress and Circular Economy Switzerland Launch. The work has also been further developed in collaboration with MCAU urbanists for inclusion in an innovative urban regeneration assignment coming soon (watch this space).

Our cities are full of lazy spaces and untapped synergies that when considered holistically can unlock a huge potential for circular economy based design and planning. From food systems to energy, transportation and waste management, the potential is great. The future city hub is an urban concept for creating essential service nodes by retrofitting existing structures or creating smart new facilities as part of an integrated network.

Our work includes scanning urban areas and advising on where and how to develop this concept in order to make cities more economically, socially and environmentally robust.
